Golden Ales to Quench Your SummerLove

Guaranteed to Please

Summer is officially here and the folks over at VinePair have created their list of 10 Easy Pleasing Golden Ales. We are excited to be able to bring 3 out of the 10 to you all summer long so you can enjoy these sunny-hued refreshing brews at the beach, by the pool, and even at your local pub or restaurant. Golden ale’s are light, less hoppy than IPA’s, and easy to drink in the southern heat. Whatever your adventure is this summer, these golden ales are guaranteed to please!

#7 Narragansett Fresh Catch

Fresh Catch is a refreshing blonde ale that has been dry hopped with citra to give a crisp grapefruit finish. Though mild on the palate, aromas of citrus and passion fruit are very evident. This is a great beer to enjoy after a long day at work, or at the beach. Find Narragansett Fresh Catch at all Charleston Mellow Mushroom’s as the Featured Beer of the Month.

#4 Kona Big Wave Golden Ale

Big Wave Golden Ale from Kona Brewing Company is a lighter-bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor—smooth, easy drinking, and refreshing. They use caramel malt which contributes to the golden hue, and a special blend of hops provides a bright, quenching finish that makes it a struggle to not grab another one. Kona Big Wave Golden Ale is widely available at all major grocers.

#3 Samuel Adams Golden Ale

Vine Pair describes this beer being light amber, and topped with a head of eggshell white. This beer was noted to have more flavor than most others and was highlighted with a sweet bread aroma and carries a bright, balancing bitterness. You can find the Samuel Adams Golden Ale this summer at all major grocers in the American Summer Variety Pack.
